RECENT UPDATES FROM SCOOP HILL
A grant of £750 has been awarded to Moffat Rugby Club to assist with covering the various costs involved in organizing and hosting the Moffat Rugby Club 10’s event. This funding will help support a range of essential expenses, including event logistics, equipment, and facilities, ensuring that the event runs smoothly and successfully. This support further demonstrates the commitment to promoting community engagement, healthy competition, and the growth of rugby in the region.
There have been four completed phases (with a fifth currently underway) of sports sessions designed to engage schoolchildren across Dumfriesshire. These sessions provide students with the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and physical activities. In total, our support for the Let's Get Sporty (LGS) program is estimated to exceed £20,000, reflecting our commitment to encouraging active lifestyles and creating lasting benefits for young people across the region.
ANNANDALE COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SERVICES ELECTRIC VAN GRANT
A grant of £8,800 has been awarded to ACTS to assist with the costs of modifications made to an electric minibus. This minibus is primarily used for transporting individuals to hospital appointments and providing them with the opportunity to attend various day trips, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for those in need of these services.
